Six services that decide how the day feels
Venue, decor and catering are your planner's job. These six are ours — and because they are all ours, they run off one schedule instead of six.
Inai Event Management provides six wedding and event services across Tamil Nadu: emcee and anchoring, wedding photography and film, DJ and sound, return gifts, wedding entertainment stalls, and event and corporate gifting.
Each can be booked on its own. Booked together, they are delivered by one team under one contract, working from a single written run of show agreed 72 hours before the function.
Emcee & Anchoring
The voice that holds the room together
An emcee is the only vendor at a Tamil wedding whose job is the guest's experience of time. A good one keeps a 900-guest reception moving without ever sounding as though it is being moved; a poor one turns the evening into a sequence of unexplained waits.
Photography & Film
Coverage planned around the ritual, not around the light
The photographs are the only part of the wedding the family will still be handling in twenty years. Most of the failures are not artistic — they are logistical: nobody told the photographer that the thaali is tied at 07:42, so the frame is taken from behind a pillar.
DJ & Sound
Cued to the run of show, not to the crowd's patience
Sound is the one vendor category where the failure is audible to every guest simultaneously. The two commonest Tamil wedding sound failures are both schedule problems, not equipment problems: a dead gap where the nadaswaram ends and the DJ has not been cued, and a reception set pitched at a dance-floor crowd that has not arrived yet.
Return Gifts
Counted correctly, delivered before the guests arrive
Return-gift failures are almost always arithmetic. Families order for the invitation count, not the attending count by function, and then discover at 21:00 that the reception ran 120 bags short while 200 muhurtham thamboolams sit unopened in a car boot.
Entertainment Stalls
Something for the three hours between arriving and eating
At most Tamil receptions a guest arrives, joins the stage queue, greets the couple, and then has an unstructured hour before dinner. That hour is the single largest block of guest time at the wedding and almost nobody plans it. It is also the cheapest hour to make memorable.
Event Gifting
Gifting as a programme, not a last-minute purchase order
Corporate gifting in Chennai is usually a procurement task handed to whoever has time in the last fortnight. The result is a recognisable generic hamper that says the sender met an obligation. The cost of doing it well is mostly lead time, not money.

How booking works
Do we have to book all six services?
No. Any single service can be booked on its own. The advantage of combining them is coordination — when the emcee, DJ and photography team are all ours, the run of show is one internal document rather than a negotiation between strangers.
How do we get a quote?
Call or WhatsApp +91 98849 60870, or write to Egnitha@inaievents.in with your dates, city, venue and approximate guest count. We quote against your actual programme rather than from a published rate card, because a one-evening reception and a two-day kalyanam are not comparable jobs.
Why don't you publish prices on the website?
Because a published package price is almost always wrong for the wedding in front of us, and families end up paying for scope they do not need or discovering exclusions late. We quote line by line against your programme, so you can see what each element costs and remove what you do not want.
How far in advance should we book?
For peak Tamil muhurtham windows, eight to twelve weeks for emcee, photography and DJ, and four to six weeks for personalised return gifts and branded corporate gifting. Off-peak dates can often be confirmed considerably later.
What is a run of show, and why does it matter?
A run of show is a written, timed schedule of the event: every ritual, every announcement, every cue, who is responsible and what happens immediately before and after. At a Tamil wedding it is what prevents the two commonest failures — the silent gap and the unexplained wait. Inai shares it with the venue and every vendor 72 hours before the function.
Do you handle the whole wedding, including venue, decor and catering?
No, and deliberately. Inai runs the celebration layer — the six services that shape what guests actually experience. We coordinate closely with your venue, decorator and caterer, but we do not pretend to be a full wedding planner, because doing six things properly beats doing twelve adequately.
